A Superset alternative for Windows and Linux

Superset, a Y Combinator company, calls itself an IDE for the agents era: an Electron app that runs many CLI agents in parallel in git worktrees, with a diff viewer. It is optimized for macOS, and Windows and Linux are not officially tested. AgentVera runs parallel agents on macOS, Windows and Linux, with flows, checks and team features around them.

When to pick Superset

  • You work on a Mac and want an IDE-style app built around many parallel agents.
  • You want to read the source; Superset is source-available under the Elastic License 2.0.
  • You run a CLI agent AgentVera does not list. Superset works with any CLI agent; in AgentVera an unlisted CLI runs in a plain terminal pane without the per-agent features.

  • You want agents to hand work to each other: flows, research→plan→build, night shift.
  • You want acceptance checks (Verify), automatic code review and warnings when two agents edit the same file.
  • You want a database manager, SSH/SFTP, a team kanban and account switching in the same app.

Moving from Superset to AgentVera

  1. Download AgentVera and open the same repository as a project.
  2. Add the agents you ran in Superset; AgentVera starts the installed CLIs with their own logins.
  3. Worktrees created by Superset are ordinary git worktrees: open them from the Git panel, or merge and remove them first.
  4. Review changes in the Git panel or with automatic code review, then commit and open a pull request from the GitHub card.
