A Conductor alternative for Windows and Linux
Conductor, by Melty Labs, is a Mac app that runs Claude Code, Codex and other agents in parallel, each in its own git worktree, with diff review before you merge. AgentVera also runs agents in parallel, on macOS, Windows and Linux. Below is what each offers, where Conductor is the better fit, and how to move over.

When to pick Conductor
- You work only on a Mac and want a focused Mac app built around worktrees and diff review.
- Claude Code, Codex, Cursor agent and OpenCode cover the agents you use.
- You prefer a smaller tool that does one job well: parallel agents, review, merge.
When to pick AgentVera
- You or your team use Windows or Linux, or a mix of systems.
- You want more agents (18 CLIs, from Gemini CLI and Copilot to Aider and Goose) next to plain terminals.
- You want agents to hand work to each other: flows, the research→plan→build pipeline, night shift.
- You want acceptance checks (Verify), a database manager, SSH/SFTP and a team kanban in the same app.
Moving from Conductor to AgentVera
- Download AgentVera for your system and open the same repository folder as a project.
- Add the agents you used in Conductor. AgentVera starts your installed claude, codex, cursor-agent or opencode CLI, so your logins and subscriptions carry over.
- For parallel work, create a worktree per task from the Git panel and start an agent in it. Existing worktrees are ordinary git worktrees and open as they are.
- Review changes in the Git panel or turn on automatic code review, then commit and open a pull request from the GitHub card.
Questions
Is there a Conductor alternative for Windows?
Yes. Conductor runs only on macOS. AgentVera runs on Windows, macOS and Linux and runs Claude Code, Codex, Cursor Agent and opencode in parallel, each in a real terminal, with a git worktree per task if you want one.
Is there a Conductor alternative for Linux?
AgentVera ships Linux builds alongside macOS and Windows. The free plan has unlimited agents.
Can I keep my Claude Code or Codex subscription?
Yes. AgentVera runs the CLI you already installed with its own login, so your existing Claude or OpenAI sign-in is used as is. No API key is needed.
Is AgentVera open source?
No. Like Conductor, AgentVera is a closed-source desktop app. If you need open source, look at Vibe Kanban (Apache-2.0), Claude Squad (AGPL-3.0) or Nimbalyst (MIT).
Can I use Conductor and AgentVera on the same repository?
Yes. Both work on plain git branches and worktrees, so you can try AgentVera without changing your Conductor setup.
