An Enjoy alternative with real terminals and a free plan

Enjoy (enjoy.dev) calls itself a superagent for your computer: a desktop app that installs coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, Antigravity, Muse Code and OpenCode, and gives them all one message box. It runs on macOS, Windows and Linux, opens Windows projects that live inside WSL 2, runs workflows on a schedule, shows how much of each AI plan is left, and lets you work from a phone or another computer over an end-to-end encrypted connection. It costs $29 a month after a 7-day trial. AgentVera runs each agent’s own CLI in a real terminal, side by side, and adds flows, acceptance checks and team tools, with a free plan. Below is how they differ and where Enjoy is the better fit.

Enjoy and AgentVera side by side

FeatureEnjoyAgentVera
Platforms macOS 13 or later (Apple Silicon and Intel), Windows x64 and Linux x64 (AppImage, .deb, .rpm). On Windows, projects inside a WSL 2 distribution run their Git and agents there; others run natively. Phones connect through app.enjoy.dev in a browser. macOS, Windows and Linux desktop app.
Supported agents Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, OpenCode (with free, local or your own models), Antigravity and Muse Code; each uses your own account with its maker. 18 CLI coding agents, including Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Copilot, Cursor Agent, opencode, Amp and Aider, plus plain terminals. Each uses its own CLI install and login.
Open source / license Closed source; Enjoy’s own blog says it isn’t open source. Closed source.
Pricing model $29 a month after a 7-day free trial, which needs a card. Agents use your own AI plans. Free plan with unlimited agents; Pro and Team plans are paid.
Git worktrees Yes. Ask the agent to work in a worktree and it moves the conversation into a separate copy on its own branch; merge or delete it from the branch menu. Yes. Create a worktree per task from the Git panel and start an agent in it; night-shift tasks get their own worktree. You are warned when two agents edit the same file.
Kanban not confirmed Team kanban shared across your organization; hand a card to Claude, Codex or another agent and the reply lands on the card (Pro and Team).
Flows and pipelines between agents Workflows that run on a schedule (daily, weekly or a cron expression) with a preferred agent, and switching agents in the middle of a task; we did not find pipelines between agents on its pages. Flows pass one agent’s output to the next; a team view of open agents led by a manager; a parallel team that ends in one PR; staged task line; night shift (Pro and Team).
Acceptance checks not confirmed Verify extracts acceptance criteria from your request and a separate read-only verifier checks each one after the agent’s turn; automatic code review.
Database manager / SSH not confirmed Database manager for PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB and SQLite (Pro and Team); SSH/SFTP panel; agent SSH and database access with your rules.
Token savings Usage bars for each agent plan’s limits, what each conversation used, and suggestions for smaller AI plans. Context profiles, automatic /compact, bundled RTK output compression, automatic per-task model routing and a project map (code graph) for agents.
Team features Invite teammates to the projects on your computer with work or view-only access; each person needs their own Enjoy subscription. Organizations, team kanban, client boards, AgentVera Runner on your own server, automatic account switching.

A dash means we could not confirm the feature on Enjoy’s own pages. It may exist or arrive later; check their site.

When to pick Enjoy

  • You want one simple message box for every agent, with Enjoy installing the agents and its manual explaining each step, rather than terminals.
  • You use Grok Build or Meta’s Muse Code, or want OpenCode set up with free or local models.
  • Your Windows projects live inside WSL 2 and you want Git and the agents to run there.
  • You want scheduled workflows, plan-usage tracking with tips on smaller AI plans, and access from your phone or another computer in one subscription.

When to pick AgentVera

  • You want each agent’s own CLI in a real terminal, with 18 CLIs (from Gemini CLI and Copilot to Amp and Aider) next to plain terminals.
  • You want a free plan with unlimited agents rather than a monthly subscription after a trial.
  • You want agents to hand work to each other: flows, a team view led by a manager, a parallel team that ends in one PR, night shift.
  • You want acceptance checks (Verify), a team kanban, automatic account switching, a database manager and an SSH/SFTP panel in the same app.

Moving from Enjoy to AgentVera

  1. Download AgentVera and open the projects you use in Enjoy.
  2. Add Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity or opencode. AgentVera starts the CLIs you already installed, so your logins and subscriptions carry over.
  3. Worktrees that Enjoy created are ordinary git worktrees: open them from the Git panel, or merge them first.
  4. Rebuild scheduled workflows as scheduled tasks or flows, and use the AgentVera mobile app or Telegram to follow agents away from your desk.

Questions

Is Enjoy free?

No. Enjoy is free for 7 days, then $29 a month, and starting the trial needs a card; you still pay your AI providers for the agents. AgentVera has a free plan with unlimited agents; Pro and Team are paid.

Does Enjoy work on Windows without WSL?

Yes. Enjoy has a Windows x64 app, and projects in Windows folders run natively; projects inside a WSL 2 distribution run their Git and agents in WSL. AgentVera runs natively on Windows, with an x64 installer.

Which agents does Enjoy run that AgentVera does not?

Grok Build and Muse Code. Both apps run Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Antigravity; AgentVera also runs Gemini CLI, Copilot, Cursor Agent, Amp, Aider and other CLIs.

Is AgentVera open source?

No. AgentVera is a closed-source desktop app with a free plan. Enjoy is closed source too, and paid.

Can I use Enjoy and AgentVera on the same repository?

Yes. Both work on plain git branches and worktrees, so you can try AgentVera without changing your Enjoy setup.
