Run your coding agent in a Docker container
Giving an agent broad permissions doesn’t have to mean opening up your whole computer. With “Docker kapsayıcısında çalıştır” (run in a Docker container) selected, the agent runs in a container that only sees the project folder, while its conversation, stats and AgentVera tools work as usual.
What the agent can see
The container sees only the project folder, plus the worktree’s repository for an agent in a worktree. The rest of your computer, other programs and your SSH keys aren’t visible.
- On Linux, files are created with your user id.
- When the agent stops, the container is removed; only changes in the project folder remain.
- Set CPU and memory limits if you like.
The image
AgentVera’s own agent image (Node 22, git, ripgrep, Claude Code and Codex) is built automatically on first use. You can bring your own image instead, as long as it contains the claude or codex command.
Everything else works the same
Conversations are stored just as they are on your computer, so resume, stats and token budgets behave the same. AgentVera’s hooks and MCP servers (project map, board, agent messaging…) keep working inside the container. A “Docker” chip shows in the agent header.
How to use it

Install and start Docker Desktop, Colima or OrbStack.

In the agent dialog, pick “Docker kapsayıcısında çalıştır” for a local Claude Code or Codex agent.

Optionally enter your own image and CPU and memory limits.

Start the agent; the first time, the AgentVera image is built.

Why does Claude ask me to log in on macOS?
The macOS keychain isn’t visible from a Linux container, so Claude may ask you to log in once inside it.
What’s left when the agent stops?
Only the changes in the project folder. The container is removed and the conversation stays on your computer.
